More than thirty years ago, while visiting a horseback riding center in Liski, I did not dare dream about ever having a chance to mount one of those marvelous animals.

In order t learn horse riding I had to prove that I really cared. The beginning of my “riding career” consisted of cleaning boxes, removing manure and taking care of the equipment.

Since that time, horses have always been with me, no matter where I lived or what I did.

I was always trying to find my place in the world, somewhere to build a house with a big table in the dining room and with a stable, my own stable, where I could stand having coffee and watching my horses grazing.

The Bieszczady Mountains have become my home which I’m still building… - this is my piece of the sky and my world whose indispensable element is horse neighing.

And my home in the Bieszczady is where I invite people who, like me, love horses and adventure.

If you enjoy admiring the world from the perspective of horseback riding I can guarantee you that there are few other places where you can hide to relax from civilization and to give in to wild nature.

I can promise you an extraordinary experience which is horse riding across mountainous terrain. Wild paths, crossing streams, climbing up and backbreaking downhill riding.

And if you still feel unsatisfied join me for a few days to follow the forgotten history of the villages which disappeared long ago, whose past existence is marked only by fruit trees that have grown wild and rudbek clumps. Together, we can discover some places that have been forgotten even by the local demons, called Biesy and Czady. And after the whole day spent on horseback you will experience the bliss offered by an evening at the camp fire, under the sky that is more starry than anywhere else.

Horse riding trips

Carpatica Horseback Riding Stable is situated in the very heart of the Bieszczady Mountains, so our offer is basically riding trips addressed to those who already have some experience in horseback riding.

We also run horseback riding classes for beginners and for those who were somehow discouraged from horse riding but would like to retake this wonderful sport. For such people we offer the so-called ABC of horse riding, or peaceful horseback walks, and for more experienced riders – and integration with horses, using Natural Horsemanship methods.

We propose:

Outdoor horse rides on a lead rope, not requiring technical skills,
Outdoor horseback riding, requiring advanced technical skills,
ABC of horse riding,
Peaceful horseback walks.

Price list:

Outdoor horseback riding 1 h – PLN 40.
ABC of horse riding 0.5 h – PLN 30.
Peaceful horseback walks 15min – PLN 15.

 

Trail rides

Horse hiking trail rides offer an extraordinary adventure during which you can verify your skills, as well as your character, endurance and positive attitude to animals and people. This is much more than just a weekend horseback tour.

Long-distance trail rides mean having contact with a horse for many hours, night watching with horses, feeding and cleaning them, riding many-kilometer long distances. Only then a strong relationship between the man and the horse is formed. This is when you start respecting this magic animal. I could go on writing and talking about this, but why should I importune you? Whoever picks up this bug, they will always return here – this is guaranteed!

 Our proposal:

• Several-day long package trail rides

From May through November there is a possibility of organizing a trail ride (4 to 7 days long) for groups of minimum 4 people. The time and route are arranged individually, depending on participants’ skills and requirements.

 

• Star-like horse hiking trips

All-day long horseback riding trips and returning home for the night. In the morning mounting the horse again and off you go.

We guarantee:

 

• a healthy, secure horse equipped with horse shoes and the complete horse tack (including liability insurance against the damage done to the third party);
• food and stables for horses;
• a professional guide;
• 2 big meals a day for riders (breakfast and dinner);
• sleeping places;
• unforgettable adventures and fantastic memories ...

You should take:

As little as possible, namely:

• a sleeping bag,
• simple toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, a small towel),
• a rain-proof jacket,
• wear some clothes adequate for cool summer days (if it gets very hot you can always strapped up at the saddle),
• a horse riding hat is welcome (for security),
• a hat which will protect you best from the sun or rain
• a mobile phone and a charger
• personal injury protection policy (the horses have liability insurance against any damage done to the third party, we do not offer individual insurance policies for the participants)
• good mood and positive attitude to people and animals ...

Terms and conditions:

Horseback hiking trips are organized for groups of 6-8 people. Each participant has their “own” horse or it is possible to join the group in a horse carriage, if your companion does not feel like horse riding or is not in good shape. The horses are saddled and prepared for the ride by the staff. The first night and the third one are spent at a camping site, the remaining nights are in double or three-person rooms with an en suite in high-standard guest houses. Breakfast and dinner are served at the place where a particular night is spent. A warm meal during the day (lunch) is combined with horses’ relaxation and will be eaten “in the open”, at carefully selected charming places.

Beverages during the ride are paid extra, except for mineral water.

We also recommend buying an additional  individual insurance policy, including one for your baggage..

The items that you should take with you are listed under the tab “What to take”, yet to participate in the trail ride it is obligatory that you take 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of trousers (or breeches), a riding hat, possibly a vest and a raincoat.

If you decide to take part in our trail ride you must be good at horse riding and be in good physical shape.
